Marshall County Auxiliary Radio Service

The purpose of MCARS is to provide emergency communication for Marshall County, Alabama - especially when conventional means are inadequate. MCARS is organized under the Marshall County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) to serve as assigned by the Marshall County EMA. The group seeks to build working relationships with other area emergency organizations. The group is recognized as a RACES unit by the Marshall County EMA.

If you are interested in getting involved with the MCARS unit, feel free to attend a meeting. We meet at 424 Blount Avenue, Guntersville, AL, US Highway 431 at the Marshall County Court House every third Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm. You do not have to be a radio operator to join.
